Colorado bound

I’m so excited to share!

Captain booked us a trip to Steamboat, Colorado! This is my Christmas gift! πŸŽ„

We leave today and will be gone for 5 days! (Grayheart has the kids the first week of holiday break.)

I’m going skiing! β›· I haven’t gone in several years and cannot wait! I can’t wait to see snow again and breathe the crisp air the mountains have to offer.

I’d love any suggestions you have of the area as I’ve never been to Colorado. I’ll be in Denver and Steamboat. I’m thrilled to get to see this part of the country!

Whoo-hoo! Merry Christmas to you! Captain is a good man. Advice? Take your health insurance card with you, and make a wonderful memory! We can’t wait to hear all about it! Come back in one piece, NO injuries, and a smile on your face! :^)

  2. Steamboat is also famous for it hot spring baths, bring a bathing suit, unless you don’t care. The sulphur smell takes a little getting used to, but is very therapeutic. If you are driving to Steamboat from Denver, you should stop and see Vail. It’s a little overboard with $$$ but a very lovely Swiss village feel. If you are taking Rt 70 Vail is about 1/2 way. The Main Street of Steamboat is real old west, with lots of eateries and local artisan shops. We don’t ski, but visit CO often. Breckenridge and Leadville are our favorites … Aspen – meh … Have fun and if you’ve never seen the Rockies prepare to be awestruck.
